Three Inspirational Prayer Paths
- four themes to choose from -
Too often in our busy lives we don't take the time to be with
the Lord. We get lost, confused. We have designed three paths
in the woods, all with a different theme, for a quiet walk with
God. As you visit Shekinah Ranch, please ask for our prayer guides
(which we have adopted from material given to us by Bethany Ministries
in Hong Kong).
"Pilgrim Journey" - praying about relationships
A contented pilgrim journey involves walking in step with God,
in company with others and at our own pace, towards our goal.
We know the peace when the status of our relationship
with God, other people and ourselves is satisfactory. These relationships
constitute our spiritual central nervous system - damage or distort
them and we become dysfunctional as human beings.
"Soul Reviver" - for those wanting to "revive
their souls."
For many of us, prayer is often crying out to God, our earthly
voices assaulting the gates of heaven! Less often do we open
our ears and, in guietness, allow God to speak to us. Yet it
is in these times that God can refresh us and revive us.
"New Beginnings" - for those needing to make decisions
On this prayer path, we go through the various steps involved in making
decisions. We prepare our heart to hear from the Lord and ask for His
wisdom. We confirm that we are committed to following Him. We ask Him to
prepare the way and give us courage. We affirm that we will be content
whatever the outcome, and finally ask the Holy Spirit's guidance in
these matters. "Peace Walk" - for those needing peace
We start this walk by focusing on God, the source of our peace, and we
finish by giving the Prince of Peace all worship and honor. As we
meditate on these passages from Isaiah and open our hearts before Him,
we learn to relinquish everything to Him, and He will in turn fill our
hearts with His peace. We cannot help but give Him glory! |
